The Successor Movement for the Red and White Struggle of 14 February 1946 [GPPMP] held a rally and pilgrimage at the Kalibata National Heroes’ Cemetery (TMPN). The Ceremony Inspector is Major General TNI Rano Maxim Adolf Tilaar..
A number of GPPMP functionaries were taking part in this event, attended by, Lucky Korah, Telly Kasenda Sumolang and Silvy Gordon Mogot.
Fighters for the heroic Red and White event of 14 February 1946 in North Sulawesi included B.W Lapian, Ch. Ch Taulu, A. A Maramis, and others.
Also present in the group were the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the GPPMP DPP Albert Lapian who is the son of B.W Lapian, the General Chair of the KKK Angelica Tengker and the General Chair of KAGSKI Sofietje Pua and of course all the DPP GPPMP administrators with the General Chair Dr. Jeffrey Rawis and Secretary General Teddy A. Matheos.
Major General Rano said that the heroic Red and White incident on February 14 1946 was a historical record of the Golden Ink written by fighters from North Sulawesi (Sulut) in defending Indonesian independence.
Message from the Chairman of K3, Angelica Tengker, hopes that the Successor Movement for the Red and White Struggle of 14 February 1946 (GPPMP), as the successor organization to the struggle for the ideals of the fighters, will continue to fight so that the values of this struggle can be continuously instilled in the younger generation as the nation’s next generation.
“The heroic events of Red and White on February 14 1946 are very important for the younger generation to continue to know, especially about the heroic values and spirit of patriotism of the freedom fighters that led to the formation of the country today. “These values must continue to be instilled in the younger generation as the nation’s next generation,” said Angelica, who is also familiarly called Ika.
